Motor Vehicle Operator Jobs for U.S. Citizens | Work as a Delivery Driver

Motor Vehicle Operator jobs are available for qualified U.S. citizens who are to be employment within the Morale, Welfare & Recreation Club Alliance, Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan. The incumbent picks up food orders from Club Alliance kitchen to be delivered to various locations on base.

This job is open to applicants with SOFA Sponsorship only. This includes applicants with current Military Spouse Preference, Family member preference, active-duty service member (with their command’s approval), and current CNIC employees within the Kanto region.

Duties

1. Picks up food orders from Club Alliance kitchen to be delivered to various locations on base.
2. Verifies receipts and orders with customers upon delivery.
3. Interacts and provides quality customer service to all patrons in the facility and in delivery services.
4. When not driving, maintains delivery vehicles, to include: cleans vehicles used for delivery; maintains and monitors vehicles per MWR regulations, policies and guidance
5. May assist with taking orders and prepping orders for delivery, as needed.
6. Ensures annual/monthly/daily inspections are completed in a timely manner and notifies Club Manager accordingly to schedule maintenance as needed.
7. Helps prepare orders for delivery.
8. Double checks order and verifies deliver to correct customer/address.
9. Completes vehicle log sheet.

Requirements

Applicant must:

1. Be able to read and understand English.
2. Have a valid driver’s license.
3. Be able to read a map.
4. Possess good customer service skills
5. Be able to drive a van and electric vehicle.
6. Be quick and accurate.
7. Be able to follow all traffic rules and maintain good base driving record.
8. Be able to drive during inclement weather conditions to include rain and snow.
9. Have ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision, and the ability to interpret instructions and specifications.

6. If a current or former Federal Employee: provide a copy of your most recent Personnel Action Report (PAR) or SF-50.
